You're A Grand Old Flag

American Flag

Eagle Scout Project

My name is Kirk Wilson and I am a Boy Scout in Troop 390. I am currently working on my Eagle Scout Project. My project is an effort to help The American Legion educate the community on the proper care of our American Flag, properly retire worn or tattered flags from the community, and support our troops by sending pocket flags from the Pocket Flag Project to our military soldiers on the front lines.

Do you have a worn or tattered American flag?

If so, I can properly retire it for you through a flag retirement ceremony.

-Flags can be dropped off at the following locations before April 4th:

-Or drop your flag off at the La Crescenta LDS church parking lot on March 30th between 10 AM and 1 PM. (4550 Raymond Ave, La Crescenta)

Donations for the purchase of pocket flags going to the American Troops are greatly appreciated. The pocket flags will be folded and sent to the military troops serving our country as a reminder of home. Checks can be made out to “American Legion Post 288.” All tax deductible donations can be sent to 2654 Mary St,
La Crescenta, CA 91214 to be received by April 6th.
